Even Over

Industry

On the card, Industry means “to work hard and well at my life tasks”. On Even Over’s map of values, it is in the area called Achievement: succeeding by the standards other people recognise. That area is on the self-enhancement side of the map.

How it was placed

The word has one clear link to this value and overlaps with others. Working hard and well at your tasks supports success, without naming recognition by others. The placement is our own and provisional.

Values it can pull against

Values on opposite sides of the map often pull in different directions. Across from Industry, on the self-transcendence side, are 25 words.

Find your own order

Whether Industry is near the top for you depends on what you give up for it. You sort 83 value words, then choose between your top ten two at a time, and the order comes from your own choices.
